Hi All... when i use the card in the roland 555 everything is fine, i can save patterns to the banks and everything. But after i use wave converter and bring in a file the roland thinks the card needs to be formatted. If i take it back and put it back into the computer the wave converter utility also no longer recognizes it as a 555 bank card.

I'm going to google this in a few, but thought i'd post it up here first just in case.

Thanks

Michael, and you "ejecting" the card drive before pulling the card out of the card reader?

yes -- "safely remove hardware" from the sys tray.

Thanks for the reply though

I had the same problem with my Ultra II 1gb Sandisk card. I got the 2gb version and haven't had any problems since.

I also had problems sampling to the card banks. It sounded scratchy and harsh.

Hello Everyone, this is my first post.

I just got it and I have been trying to add samples via the wave converter application. It seems that the card is getting confused or corrupted thereafter several reformatting events occurred and yet I have no success. The application appears to work fine, but the samples never get linked when I insert the card and power up the unit.

Please specify exact manufacturer details of a recommended card.
In other words a card that will work ok, via XP and my Sp-555.

Also if you could specify a source.

Thanks,
Kevin
