new user trying 2 load 39.1mb wav backing track help ! "ive got maxed out sample 544"

hi all
ive tryed putting this 39mb wav file in the fanx user (e) tmp audio import like the owners manual tells us but cant seem 2 get this track 2 play with smaller wave files ive been moving them 2 user and able 2 play them from there but cant do the same with this 1 as it says file is too big sorry if this a noob qusetion only had my x8 just over a week surly i must be doin somthing wrong as there must b a way of importing these bigger wav files i was thinking of sampling this 39mb track to the audio imput but dont want to if there is an easyer way

The internal memory of the Fantom-X is 32 MB, so of course you can't fit anything bigger than that there. Even if you have a DIMM expansion, since this is expansion of the realtime sample RAM, not the storage flash RAM. You need to have both a DIMM module and a CompactFlash carf with a PC card adaptor to work with big samples.

i currntly hav a compactflash 2.0 gb with pc card adapter not shure i understand the dimm module can u explane this a bit more thx again

the dimm module ur talkin about is the is the 544 its allready expanded too?

Okay, seems like you have everything you need - then when you're connecting via USB, you should select the CARD area not the USER area.
